Gorsaf anarferol yw un Shotton gan ei bod ar ddau lefel. Mae trenau Rheilffordd Arfordir Gogledd Cymru yn aros ar blatfformau\u2019r lefel isaf, ac mae trenau Rheilffordd y Gororau yn aros yn yr orsaf uchaf. Mae\u2019r orsaf gyferbyn \u00e2 Llwybr 5 y Rhwydwaith Beicio Cenedlaethol sy\u2019n cysylltu Caer \u00e2 Gogledd Cymru. Mae Llwybrau Beicio 563 a 56 gerllaw hefyd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019r dwyrain o orsaf Shotton saif pont drawiadol Penarl\u00e2g, sy\u2019n croesi afon Dyfrdwy. Hon oedd y bont droi fwyaf yn y byd pan gafodd ei hadeiladu yn 1889. Heddiw mae Pont Penarl\u00e2g (sy\u2019n rhan o Reilffordd y Gororau rhwng Wrecsam a Bidston) yn cysylltu Shotton \u00e2 gwaith dur enfawr Tata yr ochr arall i\u2019r afon. Mae llawer o adar yn byw yn y gwlyptiroedd a chornentydd ar lan afon Dyfrdwy. Mae\u2019r afon yn llanwol yma, ac mae llywio\u2019r llongau mawr yn dipyn o her oherwydd y pontydd niferus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tua 1.5 milltir i\u2019r de o orsaf Shotton mae Parc Gwledig Gwepra, lle ceir aceri o goetiroedd hardd, nentydd, rhaeadr, Gerddi\u2019r Hen Neuadd, a phwll pysgota. Ymhlith cyfleusterau\u2019r Parc Gwledig mae maes chwarae i blant, canolfan ymwelwyr, caffi a thoiledau. Mae Parc Gwledig Gwepra ar safle hen goedwig fawr Ewloe oedd yn ymestyn yr holl ffordd i lannau afon Dyfrdwy yn ystod yr oesoedd canol. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gallwch gerdded drwy Barc Gwledig Gwepra i ymweld ag adfeilion Castell Ewloe yng nghanol y coed. Mae Castell Ewloe yng ngofal CADW ac mae mynediad am ddim i\u2019r cyhoedd. Mae\u2019n enghraifft anghyffredin o gastell Cymreig bach o\u2019r drydedd ganrif ar ddeg, ac mae adfeilion y gorthwr, tyrau, muriau a\u2019r ffosydd i\u2019w gweld o hyd.
