Adeilad mwyaf adnabyddus y dref yw Castell Gwrych. Cafodd ei adeiladu o bren gan y Normaniaid yn wreiddiol, a\u2019i ailgodi \u00e2 cherrig gan y tywysog Cymreig Rhys. Yn ddiweddarach, codwyd t\u0177\u00a0Elisabethaidd ar y safle, ond rhwng 1812 a 1822 aeth y perchennog Lloyd Hesketh Bamford-Hesketh ati i godi adeilad ffug-ganoloesol yn cynnwys tyrau a murfylchau, gan ddilyn cynlluniau gwahanol benseiri a dylunwyr adnabyddus. Roedd gerddi a thiroedd helaeth yn cynnwys llawer o goed addurnol yn rhan o\u2019r stad. Yn ystod yr Ail Ryfel Byd, roedd y plasty yn cynnig lloches i blant Iddewig a gludwyd i Brydain o dan y cynllun\u00a0<em>kindertransport<\/em>, ond erbyn diwedd yr ugeinfed ganrif roedd yr adeilad wedi mynd \u00e2\u2019i ben iddo. Diolch i ymdrechion hogyn lleol, Mark Baker, sefydlwyd Ymddiriedolaeth Gwarchod Castell Gwrych yn 1996, ac yn 2018 llwyddodd yr Ymddiriedolaeth i brynu\u2019r castell a\u2019r stad gan eu hadfer ar ran y genedl.
