Bydd hyn yn helpu i wella cydnerthedd y rheilffordd wrth i lifogydd ddigwydd yn fwyfwy aml yn y dyffryn.<\/p>\n<p>Mae\u2019r arfogaeth greigiau newydd hon yn arafu\u2019r d\u0175r er mwyn ei atal rhag ysgubo arglawdd y rheilffordd i ffwrdd a gadael y trac yn hongian yn yr aer, sy\u2019n arwain at stopio trenau am gyfnodau sylweddol.<\/p>\n<p>Rhoddwyd prawf ar yr amddiffynfeydd gwell ar linell Dyffryn Conwy ar ddiwedd mis Awst pan ddaeth Storm Francis \u00e2 glaw trwm i\u2019r ardal, gyda llifogydd ar y fynedfa i\u2019r safle, ond ni chafwyd difrod i\u2019r rheilffordd ei hun yn ystod y tywydd eithafol.<\/p>\n<p>A\u2019r gwaith cydnerthedd wedi\u2019i gwblhau erbyn hyn, bydd Trafnidiaeth Cymru\u2019n trefnu hyfforddiant diweddaru i yrwyr y trenau ar \u00f4l cau\u2019r llinell am gyhyd, cyn i wasanaethau ailddechrau ar 28 Medi. Yn y cyfamser, bydd bysiau\u2019n parhau i redeg yn lle trenau i deithwyr.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dywedodd Bill Kelly, <\/strong><strong>Cyfarwyddwr Llwybrau Cymru a\u2019r Gororau Network Rail: <\/strong>\u201cRwyf wrth fy modd bod Llinell Dyffryn Conwy wedi\u2019i hamddiffyn yn well yn awr gan fod tywydd eithafol wedi golygu y bu\u2019n rhaid ei chau yn rhy aml yn y blynyddoedd diwethaf.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRydym wedi gweithio bob awr o\u2019r dydd yn y misoedd diwethaf nid yn unig i atgyweirio\u2019r llinell, ond i\u2019w gwneud yn fwy cydnerth fel y gallwn atal cau\u2019r llinell am amser maith yn y dyfodol.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoffwn ddiolch i\u2019r teithwyr a\u2019r cymunedau rydyn ni\u2019n eu gwasanaethu ar hyd y llinell am eu hamynedd wrth i\u2019r buddsoddiad sylweddol hwn gael ei gyflawni.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dywedodd y Gweinidog Rheilffyrdd Chris Heaton-Harris: \u201c<\/strong>Mae llinell Dyffryn Conwy yn gysylltiad hollbwysig i lawer o gymunedau lleol yn y Gogledd, a bydd y buddsoddiad hwn yn gwella cydnerthedd y llwybr hanfodol hwnnw yn ystod tywydd eithafol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBydd uwchraddio amddiffynfeydd y rheilffordd yn helpu i atal cau\u2019r llinell am amser maith i deithwyr, yn golygu na fydd angen gwasanaethau bysiau yn lle trenau, sydd yn achosi rhwystredigaeth, ac yn cyflawni amserlen fwy dibynadwy y gall pobl ddibynnu arni.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dywedodd Martyn Brennan, Cyfarwyddwr Gweithrediadau, Trafnidiaeth Cymru: \u201c<\/strong>Mae\u2019n wych gweld ein cydweithwyr yn Network Rail yn bwrw ymlaen \u00e2 gwaith ar linell Dyffryn\u00a0 Conwy a byddwn yn adfer gwasanaethau rheilffordd ar 28 Medi, ar \u00f4l i\u2019r gyrwyr gael hyfforddiant er mwyn iddyn nhw ymgyfarwyddo \u00e2\u2019r llwybr unwaith eto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoffwn ddiolch i\u2019n cwsmeriaid am eu hamynedd a gofyn iddyn nhw barhau i wirio gwasanaethau ar lein.\u00a0 Byddwn yn parhau i ddarparu cysylltiadau trafnidiaeth gan ddefnyddio bysiau yn lle trenau.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tra bo hyfforddiant hollbwysig Trafnidiaeth Cymru i yrwyr trenau\u2019n digwydd, bydd Network Rail yn gwneud gwaith cynnal a chadw ar y llinell, fel adnewyddu sliperi.
